If you're seeking an enchanting escape in Fort Lauderdale, look no further than the El Pama Red Room Speakeasy. Nestled at 551 N Federal Hwy, this hidden gem encapsulates the elusive charm of a classic speakeasy, promising an unforgettable experience just waiting to be discovered.

Entering this lounge feels like stepping back in time—there's an air of mystery that envelops you the moment you find the unmarked door. Patrons are often given a riddle to solve before gaining access, heightening the excitement and making every visit feel special. As Adri beautifully recalls, the journey to find the speakeasy is an adventure in itself, filled with delightful surprises from your companions or loved ones.

Once inside, you'll be welcomed by an intimate atmosphere—dimly lit with a touch of Old World elegance, it's the perfect setting for a night out with friends or a romantic date. The mixologists here are true artisans, creating cocktails that are as aesthetically pleasing as they are delicious. As Joshua Simmons aptly puts it, “the guy working at the bar was a true artist.” Imagine sipping on a meticulously crafted drink while soaked in the sultry ambiance—a sensory experience not to be missed.

The menu at El Pama features a variety of enticing choices that cater to all tastes. Start your evening with their Florida Sweet Corn Fritters, where sweet, golden corn mingles with savory chipotle-maple sauce, creating a delightful burst of flavor with each bite for just $7.99. For those craving something heartier, dive into the Pepper Jack Mac, a captivating blend of creamy pepper jack sauce, topped with melted jack cheese and breadcrumbs, baked to perfection for $11.49. The Buffalo Chicken Mac, with crispy buffalo chicken and crumbled blue cheese, is another crowd favorite at $15.49. You’ll also find lighter options like the Quinoa Power Bowl, perfect for a refreshing yet satisfying choice at just $9.99.

Cocktails take center stage here, with an impressive selection that has customers raving about the quality and creativity. If you're in the mood for something unique, you might enjoy one of their signature drinks, made with fresh herbs and artisanal ingredients that elevate the cocktail experience. Echoing the sentiments of Anton S., El Pama Red Room Speakeasy truly captures the essence of a speakeasy with its dark, intimate atmosphere and exceptional beverages.

While the ambience is reliably alluring, some patrons like Nils Krahnstoever note that the energy can be more vibrant on weekends or when the place is bustling with guests. If you're after a lively night, consider visiting with a group or during peak times for the full effect of this hidden treasure.

In conclusion, El Pama Red Room Speakeasy is more than just a lounge; it's a destination for those who appreciate the art of mixology and the thrill of discovering hidden spots. Whether you're a local or a traveler, make sure this speakeasy is on your itinerary—you’ll be glad you do!

Stopped by The Brass Tap for lunch and a couple drinks. The beer selection was amazing! Over 40 beers and tap plus countless others in cans/bottles. As well as a delicious cocktail menu. Outdoor seating is available to enjoy the beautiful South Florida weather. The grilled cheese pictured was delicious! Granny Smith apples, bacon jam, and ham. If you like good food and an amazing selection of beer, definitely give this place a shot while in Fort Lauderdale!

Entrance to the speakeasy is the door next to the road, if not you’ll end up at the restaurant (food was ok). Not sure why Google has hours listed at 6, we were told they open at 7. Nonetheless, this is a cool hidden spot! Aesthetic is nice and bartenders made some good drinks!

Cool speakeasy in FLL. Door is not easy to find - but that’s part of the fun for a speakeasy, som I’m not gonna spoil it ;) You need a code to enter. Website (also its written in the door sign, which is a bit lame tbh). Cocktails are great. Atmosphere is amazing. Dark and intimate, like a speakeasy should be! Definitely recommend!

My rating is based on visiting on a Tuesday evening when only a few people where there. The place is really nice, cocktails were great, bartender/waiter was great. But not enough life to have a good time. It's probably way better when you visit with a bigger group or on weekends.

I loved this place! I have always liked the “speakeasy ambiences” so when my husband find out about this one, he took me there as surprise – and… made me find it by giving me very few clues! Of course, being a speakeasy, the place is hidden: to access it you have to go into another bar, find the stairs that lead to the speakeasy, and have the right password to open the door. The entire search was fun! We came here late on a Sunday, and there were only two tables free. Both the stairs (covered in red carpet) and the small room were very dark, but this particular was just a nice/proper addition to the ambiance. The place is nicely decorated and also thanks to their lounge music in the background, it feels very warm, cozy and it’s very relaxing. Their bartender was very friendly and he can surely make great strong cocktails! I would say their prices are pretty much average for South Florida. I look forward to be back!

Well I didn't go to the restaurant part I went to the red room for a show. You have to have an opened mind and not easily offended. Its an adult only show called Obscura look it up get the tickets if you feel like its something for you. I really enjoyed my I will be going to the next updated show in July.

Without question one of the coolest cocktail lounged I've ever been. Set up with a speak easy feel to it, you wouldn't know it was there unless you were looking for it. The guy working was the bar was a true artist, putting his soul into every drink and they were all AMAZING. I'd move to Ft Lauderdale just to hang at this place, highly recommend you stop by if in the area.
